About Sundorne Castle Estate

Sundorne Castle Estate has been established since the 17th century. Originally, belonging to the Corbet Family. However, the marriage between Mary Katherine Corbet and Philip Roger de Quincey meant that Sundorne Castle Estate passed to the de Quincey family.

The family association continues unbroken to this day, with the family actively involved in the management and success of the now diversified estate.

Dominating the landscape to the East of Shrewsbury, The Estate incorporates land and forestry that surround the villages of Uffington and Upton Magna, and contains such landmarks as Haughmond Hill, Sundorne Castle, and the banks of the Rivers Severn and Tern.

The Estate runs its own arable farming operation and supports some local tenanted farms. We have rural houses, commercial office spaces, and industrial units to rent. We can also offer a range of leisure and sporting opportunities, allowing the modern estate to operate as a varied and multifaceted country business that continues to be community orientated and forward thinking.
